Protect your cards with real-time controls and alerts

Lock your cards with the swipe of a button and instantly set the terms for when and where your cards are used.

Protect against card fraud and misuse – in real-time – through the mobile app and online banking with our all new Card Alerts tool. This easy to use feature gives you control and security over your cards. You can:

  • Turn cards on and off with the swipe of a button
  • Control when and where your cards can be used
  • Set spend limits to manage your accounts, including any dependents’ accounts
  • View debit and credit card alerts instantly from anywhere

Get Started

  1. Log in to online banking or the mobile app.
  2. In online banking: Under Debit & Credit Cards, select Set Card Alerts. In the mobile app: Open the More menu and select Card Alerts
  3. The first time you access Card Alerts, you will need to accept the Terms & Conditions. You will then see all of your Elevations cards listed.

Set Up Your Controls: Declines and Alerts

To set up your controls, select “Set declines and alerts” next to the desired card. From there, choose which type of transaction you’d like to modify the settings for. You can set declines and alerts based on merchant type, location and spend limits.

Types of Controls

With declines and alerts, you can determine when and where your card can be used.


  • Deny foreign transactions (outside of the US)
  • Receive alerts if a transaction occurs outside of the US

Transaction type

  • Deny certain transaction types, such as in-store with card present, online, mail/phone orders, ATM transactions and more
  • Receive alerts if a certain transaction type is attempted


  • Deny transactions over a certain amount
  • Receive alerts if a transaction exceeds a specified threshold

Please note:

When a card is turned off, all transactions will be declined, except for recurring payments that have already been set up and authorized. For example, if your card is set up to make automatic payments, such as for an online subscription or membership, the card will continue to make those payments even when the card is turned off.

If one of your cards is lost or stolen, please contact Member Services at 800.429.7626 to report the card and request a new one. Once you receive your new card you will need to go into the Card Alerts tool and manage your settings for the new card. The Card Alerts tool does not close a compromised card.
